Gabriel Rand, M.D.
Dr. Rand’s expertise is in the medical and surgical management of cornea and external eye diseases. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the School of Engineering at Cornell University. Dr. Rand completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY.
During residency he published a number of research articles on the application of advanced statistical methods with eye bank data and was awarded the Ronald M. Burde Award for Excellence in Research. He completed a fellowship in cornea, anterior segment, and refractive surgery from Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr. Rand is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the New York State Ophthalmological Society. He is a Clinical Instructor at Columbia University Medical Center.
Outside of work he enjoys cooking, the great outdoors, and family.
